CN2000 is a non-toxic, cementitious capillary crystalline waterproofing system originally developed for the Atomic Nuclear Industry and National Defense of China. The system is widely used to protect concrete infrastructure from deterioration, and has been especially successful at protecting against rapid freeze and thaw cycles, water, chloride ion and other harmful contaminants. CN2000 has proven to be far superior to traditional systems, as its crystalline waterproofing formulation provides an exceptionally durable barrier that lasts for decades. The defining feature of CN2000 is that it produces insoluble C-S-H crystals that permanently block the capillaries and hairline cracks naturally existing in the concrete when exposed to water. This reaction creates a level of enhanced durability and water-tightness unheard of in traditional concrete waterproofing products, while still enabling the concrete to breathe. CN2000 has been independently tested to resist extreme hydrostatic pressures of 1,100 feet (3.3 MPa) when applied on the negative side, setting a benchmark unmatched in the crystalline waterproofing industry.

Crystalline waterproofing is a proven technology that protects concrete by creating a network of insoluble crystals deep within the structure. When water comes into contact with CN2000’s active ingredients, a chemical reaction occurs, forming crystals that block pores, voids, and even hairline cracks. This process transforms the concrete into a self-sealing, waterproof material. Because CN2000 is a cementitious crystalline waterproofing system, it becomes part of the concrete rather than a layer applied on the surface. This means it won’t peel, puncture, or deteriorate like membranes or coatings. Instead, it continues to protect the concrete throughout the service life of the structure. The active compounds in CN2000 remain dormant in dry concrete but will reactivate upon future water infiltration, continuously forming insoluble crystals.
